Luther Manor apartments were added to the care center in 1978. There are 19 independent living apartments, located adjacent to the care center. We have three sizes of apartments, small, medium and large. Your rent includes the cost of water, sewer, trash pickup, inside maintenance, grounds maintenance, and common areas housekeeping.
Each apartment has their own electric meter, with usage billed by the Hannibal Board of Public Works. We furnish appliances, floor covering and draperies, while you furnish the rest with your personal belongings.
Each apartment is equipped with an emergency call system, which is answered by care center staff. If the need would arise you would be eligible to use our contracted therapy services, which would likely be covered under your Medicare B coverage. Our in-house podiatry and lab services are also used by our Villagers.
Meal service is available for a minimal charge, if you choose. The noon and dinner meals are served in the solarium, with breakfast being served in the care center dining room. There are two laundry facilities provided for your convenience, at no extra charge.
Our Village residents are always invited to attend all of our daily activities and special events in the care center. We offer restorative workout groups to keep your strength and mobility up. You are also encouraged to check out books and movies from our activity room.
If the time should come when you need nursing home care, being a Village resident gives you first priority for admission. At that time you will have already become familiar with the care center and the staff and will not be confronted with an entirely unknown environment.
If you are interested in joining our Village where you will find friendly, neighborly people and have security and support from the care center contact the care center business office for more information.
